Wings Over Wascana Nature Festival 2011

Special Guests: Robin and Arlene Karpan

Robin and Arlene Karpan are writers, photographers and publishers based in Saskatoon. They are authors of 10 books, plus their articles and photographs have appeared in well over 100 publications around the world. They are recipients of the Saskatchewan Centennial Medal, 6 Saskatchewan Tourism Awards of Excellence, and an award from the North American Travel Journalists Association.

Robin and Arlene have a special interest in Saskatchewan’s wildlife and wild places, as reflected in their books on natural landscapes, canoeing northern rivers, driving routes, and trails. Their most recent book, Saskatchewan Wild – A Wildlife Photographic Journey, is a taste of the many wildlife adventures possible in Saskatchewan. They are currently working on a new book, Saskatchewan’s Best Hikes and Nature Walks.

When: Friday May 13, 2011 -Wings Over Wascana School Day 9:00am - 3:00pm

Where: North of Wascana Hill, West of Douglas Park Playing Fields Cost: By teacher application to Friends of Wascana Marsh (Free)

What: To learn about nature in the heart of the city
