From now until the end of August, the Saskatchewan Science Centre is putting out the call to join the search for the amazing wildlife in the City of Regina! As you spot cool animals in the city, you can collect Critter Cards.

From May 23-June 1 from 8:00 am-5:00 pm goats will be grazing on the grass around Douglas Park and Wascana Hill. Come take a look! Please don't feed or pet the goats and watch out for the electric fence. Pets are also discouraged.

Come join us to explore the birds in the Habitat Conservation Area of the Wascana Marsh at 11:00 AM on May 21, 2023.
Meet us at the gate to the Habitat Conservation Area 5 mins before the excursion. We will talk about migration and try to ID birds!

On May 13, 2023, find us across from the Science Centre from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the World Migratory Bird day event.
We will have a pond dipping station set up and you will be able to learn all about the wonderful creatures living in the Wascana Marsh.

On May 3, 2023, Friends of Wascana Marsh will be receiving RCE Saskatchewan’s Award for Achievement in Education for Sustainable Development.
The Award for Achievement in Education for Sustainable Development honours projects across Saskatchewan that educate, encourage and engage others in local action that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
The Regional Centre of Expertise ("RCE") is a network of individuals, organizations and experts who are committed to using education as a tool for building a sustainable future. There are more than 150 RCEs established by the United Nations University. RCEs aspire the to translate the United Nations' global education for sustainability objectives into the context of local communities.

Friends of Wascana Marsh AGM is scheduled for Thursday, January 30, 2020 in the small theatre at the Saskatchewan Science Centre. Registration starts at 6:45, with the AGM beginning at 7:00 pm. And there will be a special presentation by Michelle Chupik - Habitat Use of Piscivorous Birds, Fish and Humans on Souther Lakes in Saskatchewan.
Memberships are available at the door. But you don't need to be a member to attend. Come and join us!

BioBlitz 150 runs from 7:00 PM June 9 through to 7:00 PM June 10. This festival has 24 hours of activities! Locations of events include the Saskatchewan Science Centre, Royal Saskatchewan Museum and the Habitat Conservation Area in Wascana Centre. Fun starts at 7:00 pm June 9 at the Saskatchwan Science Centre. Free activites in the Habitat Conservation Area June 10 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm includes pond dipping, worm charming, turtle scoping and more! There are displays and crafts too!
